Just before the conclusion of the pageant the Judges unexpectedly asked for more time before making their final decision on the winners. We all held our breath but Connie stepped up without hesitation and started singing beautifully and telling about humorous personal situations. When she crawled up on the piano the audience absolutely roared with laughter. This lady certainly has that God given art to read an audience and has been the most effective Mistress of Ceremonies that we have ever had to preside over our pageant.
